Your legal guarantee rights

EU notice: legal guarantee

LEGAL GUARANTEE. Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union. Consumers can claim their rights under the legal guarantee of conformity, for example if goods do not match the description or do not function as intended. Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity which existed when the goods were delivered, and which becomes apparent within the legal guarantee period. Sellers in such a situation are required to offer: free repair or free replacement; in some cases, a price reduction or full reimbursement. Some countries have a longer legal guarantee period. For second-hand goods, a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year. For more information on your rights in a specific country, scan the QR code or ask the seller: europa.eu/youreurope/guarantees. What to do if you receive non-conforming goods: 1. Contact the seller as soon as possible to report the issue. 2. Provide proof of purchase, such as a receipt, invoice, or bank statement. Sellers and producers may also offer commercial guarantees, which apply independently from the legal guarantee. For example, you may see this GARAN label representing a commercial guarantee of durability offered by the producer at no additional cost and covering the entire good.

Take-back & Disposal

Notices on packaging, waste electrical equipment, batteries and waste oil.

Packaging (German Packaging Act, VerpackG)

We have fulfilled our obligation to participate in a dual system under the German Packaging Act. Sales packaging that accrues to you as a private end consumer can be disposed of via household collection (yellow bin or yellow bag, waste paper, glass container).

We take back transport and secondary packaging free of charge at the place of handover or in its immediate vicinity. Please contact us to arrange this.

Crossed-out wheeled binWaste electrical equipment (German ElektroG / WEEE)

Electrical and electronic equipment – such as battery chargers or electronic control units – must not be disposed of with household waste. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol indicates this.

You can hand in old equipment free of charge at municipal collection points. When you buy a new device, we take back an old device of the same type; for small devices with an edge length of up to 25 cm, also without a new purchase. Please contact us in advance so that we can arrange the return shipment.

Batteries and lamps contained in the equipment must be removed before return, insofar as they can be removed without destruction. You are responsible for deleting personal data on old equipment yourself.

Crossed-out wheeled binBatteries (German Battery Act BattDG, EU Batteries Regulation)

Waste batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in household waste. You are legally obliged to return them separately from household waste – at a public collection point, at a retailer or to us. Returning them is free of charge. We take back batteries supplied by us, or comparable ones, free of charge; please arrange the return with us in advance.

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means that batteries must be collected separately. Chemical symbols below it indicate hazardous substances: Pb for lead, Cd for cadmium and Hg for mercury.

Batteries may contain substances that harm the environment and health, and lithium batteries in particular can cause fires if damaged or short-circuited. Tape over the terminals of lithium batteries before returning them, and hand in damaged batteries directly at a collection point rather than in collection boxes. You help avoid waste by using batteries for as long as possible and, where possible, using rechargeable batteries.

Waste oil

When you purchase engine or gear oil, we take back the same quantity of used oil and the associated oil filters free of charge. Please keep your proof of purchase and arrange the return with us in advance.
